About Me

Hey that’s me!

My name is Brian Nguyen and I graduated at Long Island University. My major is Digital Game Design and I specialize in video game programming and design. When I started college, I wanted to pursue a future in Law, but I decided to pursue an education that would provide me with more passion in my work. I began to study Video Game Design and Development because I've always played games ever since I was young and I realized that creating the things that have brought me joy throughout my life was the career path I wanted to pursue. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for video games. All through high school and before attending LIU I’ve had doubts from peers and family, but I didn’t waiver my commitment to becoming a game developer.

Throughout my college career, I’ve attended multiple universities. I started at Saint John’s University, and then transferred to Suffolk County Community College and later Long Island University. During my time at Suffolk, I found my passion in programming through learning Java, which led me to Long Island University’s Digital Game Design and Development program. The school has taught me the skills needed to achieve my goals and I’m hoping to apply my set of skills to the games industry. During my college career, I’ve joined the Greek organization Phi Sigma Kappa to further improve my skillset and my time at this school has led to tremendous personal growth.
